It seems everybody has a question for the staff of Fat City. Here are a few of the most frequently asked ponderings:
Q. I was reading your last issue and on the last page there was something called a Punk Point. What the hell is that?
A. The Punk Point is our idea of how to give back to the magazine reading punk community. Since every schmoe with a computer and a modem can make a website, magazine readership has taken a severe downturn. Check out the Punk Point page for exact details.
Q. Hi, I’m a publicist. I just sent you an email about this new artist I’m working with. We’re gonna set up an interview, right?
A. Whoa, whoa, hold on there, pal. The staff of Fat City selects the bands we want to interview, they aren’t forced upon us. You’ll have a much better chance of greasing the wheel if you send a CD, bio and other materials to our PO Box. Even if we don’t hook up that interview, there’s a pretty good chance of us reviewing the disc. By the way publicists, Fat City reviews CDs, books, DVDs, VHS tapes, video games and all shapes and sizes of vinyl.
Q. How come you guys interview professional wrestlers?
A. The answer to that is obvious - they’re funny as hell. Year after year and interview after interview, I find out that tons of punk rockers love to watch wrestling. If you’re not one of them, you’re missing out on some grade-A entertainment.
Q. Where can I buy Fat City?
A. We’re currently compiling a database not only for ourselves but for our loyal readers. If you buy Fat City on a newsstand, let us know where by dropping an email at fatcitymag@hotmail.com and we’ll add it to this baby
