Did you know Jay Hale was the winner of the 1998 Rolling Stone College Journalism Award? No shit! Unfortunately he blew all of the prize money at the track on a dog named Al’s Diner. What was he thinking? The mastermind behind Fat City constantly has his hands full yelling at people, blowing off deadlines and trying to get people to pay his bills. So far he’s taking everything in stride except for the fact he can’t get the magazine in Borders and Virgin Megastores for some reason.

Fucking Steve!, as he’s referred to around these parts, attempts to oversee the review writing process. He sends out the discs, drinks some beer, writes some reviews, drinks some Southern Comfort, uses shitty CDs as coasters and takes a nap.
